What is it about you ACEY that we love so much? Is it your sheer persistance? Your wise building of a great team who help you and Astraea and every project you touch move mountains? Is it your steadfast commitment to women and lgbtquii's everywhere? Is it that charm or that beguiling smile and flair on the dance floor? Or that tilt of the mic as you capture our minds from the podium? Is it your sense of family? Your politics? Your casemaking pizzazz? Or your graciousness and patience with the toughest of funders? Or maybe it's your showing up, just YEARS of just showing up and advocating for us all? And that FUNDRAISING, maybe it's your willingness to partner with the next generation to show how to keep our eyes on the prize? Or your insistance with Astraea that all diversity and the whole world's cultures be respected? Well, of course it's all those things and more, but in reality, it's that you are one silly chick, who loves to laugh and who knows more about keeping and weaving the threads of a movement together than almost anyone. For this many have and will celebrate you, for it is your legacy,ACEY, but hey, we like you. And that my friend, after all is said and done, is just as wonderful as the utter respect we have for you too. REST up after tonight's dance...we have another twenty for justice to go.
